Dr. Iqbal Khan

Dr. Iqbal Khan, Scientific Director of Laboratories at IVF
Michigan, is a world leader in the field of embryology. His technical expertise
as an embryologist is well known and he holds the designation of High
Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD).
He holds an MS.C from Bhopal, India and a Ph.D from the University of Ghent,
Belgium. His post-doctoral work includes work at the Imperial College,
University of London, England, and the University of Wageningen, The
Netherlands.

Prior to joining IVF Michigan in 2000, Dr. Khan was the Director, IVF/Andrology
Labs at F.I.R.S.T. IVF. He has also held positions as Senior Embryologist at
the IVF Institute of Vilvoorde, Belgium, and at the Center for Reproductive
Medicine, Academic Hospital, Brussels, Belgium.
Dr. Khan has been published in more than 50 books and
peer-reviewed journals.

Professor Herman J. Tournaye received his Medical Degree in
1986 from the Brussels Free University, Belgium. His MD thesis was concerned
with the cryopreservation of oocytes and embryos obtained after assisted
reproduction. In 1994 he obtained his PhD from the same institution.
In 1991 he joined the Centre of Reproductive Medicine at the University Hospital
of the Dutch-speaking Brussels Free University. He is currently in charge of
the reproductive andrology clinic and assisted reproduction in the male.
In 2001 he was appointed Professor at the Medical School of the Dutch-speaking
Brussels Free University where he teaches developmental and reproductive
biology for biomedical and medical students.

He also heads a research group at his university involved in
transplantation of testicular stem cells.
Professor Tournaye is first author of more than 45 peer-reviewed scientific
papers and has co-authored more than 100 other peer-reviewed scientific
papers within the fields of reproductive and developmental biology, andrology,
assisted reproduction, genetics and fertility. As an EAA-Academician, he is
currently in charge of the Andrology Training Centre of the European Academy of
Andrology in Brussels.
He is also an ex-chairman of the Special Interest Group on Andrology of the
European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and is currently
President of the Dutch-Flemish Fertility Society.

Marc Van den Bergh
|
Marc Van den Bergh is currently the Director of the Fertility
Laboratory of the Cantonal Hospital, Baden, Switzerland. He completed his
Masters in Advanced Studies in Clinical Embryology at the Danube University,
Krems, Austria in 2001.
From 1979-1989 he worked in the R.I.A. and IVF laboratory of Academic
Hospital, Free University of Brussels in the
Department headed by Prof. A.C. Van Steirteghem.

In December 1989 he became the director of IVF lab at the Fertility Clinic,
Academic Hopital Erasme, Free University of Brussels in the
Department headed by Prof. Y. Englert.
He has several publications to his credit including 12 scientific papers as
first author and 28 scientific papers as co-author.
